The Goal
The Baltimore Ravens and T. Rowe Price came to ADDO in search of a way to partner with local high schools, boost academic performance, promote literacy, recognize teachers, and facilitate new leadership opportunities for students across all grades. To address these needs, ADDO created the Baltimore Ravens and T. Rowe Price Leadership Institute, a program designed to develop high school student leaders and provide them with impactful leadership skills.
Challenges
The city of Baltimore has experienced many harsh realities in the areas of education and employment. With some of the lowest educational proficiency levels in the country, the public school district’s graduation rates have hovered around 71%, nearly 14 percentage points below the national average.
