You will enjoy your first look at the Capitol, take a ride along the waterfront Malecon, and enjoy a visit to Hotel Nacional, the famous location from The Godfather Part II.
Day 2 = A Rendezvous with History
Explore Old Havana and the four historical plazas where cobbled streets and open plazas connect historical monuments and Spanish architecture. Visit the Observation Tower for a 3D Havana tour and enjoy lunch in Plaza Vieja. Walk down Havana’s busiest street, Obispo Street. Meet local Cuban’s, visit a local market, and enjoy Hemingway’s favorite bar, all before reaching the National Capitol building. A trip to the Museum of the Revolution is next to learn about the history of this fascinating island. Dinner and evening activities are open.
Day 3 = Back to the Future
Get outside the city for a day and enjoy the scenery and landscapes of the eco community Las Terrazas in the region of Vinales. We will visit the local village (Rancho Curujey) and experience Cuba’s best coffee. An outdoor lunch is available surrounded by tropical landscapes and the afternoon provides an opportunity for outdoor adventures. Next, depart for Modern Havana site visits which include Plaza de la Revolution, Revolutionary Squary, and Oficina del Presidente. You will see the brand new US Embassy and Ellian Gonzalez Park. This evening you will have a chance to visit a local paladar where the food is only surpassed by the tropical ambiance.
Day 4 = Writers, Rebels, and the Revolution
Head for the Hemingway Museum and home of the famous author. You will travel outside the city to visit Finca Vigia. While living here, Hemingway wrote Old Man and the Sea, his most noted work of fiction for which he received the Pulitzer Prize in fiction in 1952 and later the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1954. The journey continues through the local fishing village of Cojimar before heading for lunch and a trip to the Rum Museum. No trip to Cuba is complete without a visit here.
